Ho Chi Minh Arrival

You will be welcomed by ViTravel’s tour guide and driver at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and be transferred to the city center for check-in your hotel. Free at your own leisure to explore the bustling city.

Ho Chi Minh - City Tour (B/L)

8:00 AM: meet our tour guide at your hotel lobby and we visit the highlights of Ho Chi Minh city.

Start your tour with The Reunification Palace, which used to be the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam. On 30 April 1975, when a North Vietnam soldier set foot inside this building with a red flag in hand, the whole world knew that the Vietnam war ended.

The next stop is War Remnants Museum, on the way stop to visit Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office, the 2 most famous and oldest of classical French colonial architecture construction was built more than 100 years ago. War Remnants Museum with many photographs from both Vietnam and US sources; US military vehicles like tanks, jets, and booms display outside.

Lunch is served at a local restaurant.

Afternoon, we continue the city tour by discovering the eastern side of the city. Giac Lam Pagoda, is the oldest one in Ho Chi Minh City with a huge Buddha statue system which was built on 1774. Then ride to Cho Lon (Big Market) and Thien Hau Pagoda which is located inside China Town, it’s a place of great historical and cultural importance with many of temples, and pagodas in the surrounding area. Before the tour ends, we stop over for shopping at Ben Thanh Market in the city center.

Ho Chi Minh - Cao Dai Holy See Temple - Cu Chi Tunnels (B/L)

After breakfast, you will be picked up at 8:00 AM to drive through the archetypal southern Vietnamese countryside heading towards the Tay Ninh Province. Upon arrival, we visit the Cao Dai Holy See temple where the followers of this religion practice a unique religious blend of all the major faiths of the world. The temple is dominated by the all-seeing eye and is an architectural wonder due to its influence from contributing religions. The daily service is impressive where worshippers wear robes of different colours denoting their function and status and kneel in blocks whilst they pray and perform complex rituals. Moving on, we have scheduled a special lunch of the local cuisines in a popular local eatery for your taste of Tay Ninh.

After lunch, we drive to the incredible Cu Chi tunnels, a 250 km underground tunnel system which was created manually by Vietnamese resistance fighters often known as Viet Cong during their long struggle for independence. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank, as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500-pound bombs, dropped by B52 bombers. After this fascinating visit, we drive back to Saigon for your last night.

Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta Tour (B/L)

After breakfast at the hotel, we leave the bustling city of Saigon behind us and depart for the Mekong Delta known to locals as ‘Vietnam’s biggest rice basket.

Upon arrival at Hung Vuong pier in Ben Tre, we embark on a boat to cruise along the Ben Tre River, a tribute to the Mekong. With stop at the brickfield to see how bricks are made by hand and a coconut candy home factory located along the canal where we witness how to make this local delicacy. You will then have the opportunity to taste bee honey tea at a local honey farm and a variety of tropical fruit that grow abundantly in the orchards of the Mekong Delta. You can then walk or cycle through the coconut groves and green rice paddies to soak up and relax in the tranquil countryside atmosphere.

After lunch at a local restaurant, we will take a trip on small rowing boats through a maze of waterways lined by two rows of palm trees. We cruise back to the pier and disembark for a drive back to Ho Chi Minh. Relax and overnight at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh.

Ho Chi Minh - Flight To Danang - Transfer To Hoian (B)

Arrive in Danang, meet our tour guide and transfer ahead to Hoian. On the way, we can stop at Marble Mountains and My Khe beach.

Hoian - Cam Thanh Water Coconut Village - Tra Que Herb Village (B/L)

08.00 AM: Our local guide picks up you at the hotel lobby, you enjoy a cycling trip along country lanes at a peaceful pace viewing local life and pausing to see farmers toiling in their rice fields using centuries of farming practices. Peddle your way through palm forests, across bridges, and fields of water buffalo. Riding along country lanes at a peaceful pace viewing local life and stopping over to see farmers (If you can't cycle, we will arrange a car or minivan as an alternative)

9:00 AM: Take a short break with a local family at Cam Thanh Village before enjoying a 1.5-hour ride on Traditional Basket Boat (round boat) in the Water Coconut Palm Forest. Learn how to sail the basket boat and spend your time catching fish and “purple crabs” in the Canal.

10:30 AM: Continue to drive to Tra Que Organic Vegetable Village where a large variety of vegetables are produced for the local community. At the village, you will be shown the environmentally sustainable practices which the local villagers have used for centuries and is still being used extensively today.

11:30 AM: Visit a local family and after a short, informative and fun cooking lesson, we sit down for a delicious lunch. Be back in town central your hotel for relaxing.

Today you are free at leisure on your own such as walking/cycling around the ancient town or book a fishing/ snorkelling in Cham Island Area (on your request).

Hoian - Danang Airport - Flight To Hanoi - Street Food Tour (B/D)

Breakfast is served at your hotel.

Enjoy the morning free on your own to relax. Then, you will take the flight to Hanoi.

Upon arrival, your guide will pick you up from the airport and escort you to the hotel for check-in.

6:00 PM: You will begin your dinner with a Hanoi street food tour. The local tour guide will give you an insight into the intricacies and traditions of Vietnamese food culture including details on ingredients and historical backgrounds of popular Northern dishes. We eat as we go.

At the end of your Hanoi street food tour, you can be free to continue discovering the Old Quarter on your own or the tour guide will walk you back to your hotel.

Hanoi - City Tour (B/L)

After breakfast, check out hotel but leave your luggage, we will first take a visit to the outside of the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum then stroll through the garden to the Ho Chi Minh Stilt House where Ho Chi Minh lived from 1958 until he passed away in 1969. This simple two-room dwelling has been preserved in the same condition as during his life and can be viewed through the windows. Continue to the special architecture 11th century One Pillar Pagoda which was rebuilt after being destroyed by the French in 1954.

Secondly, visit the Temple of Literature – The first royal academy in the country.

The Temple of Literature has a peaceful series of walled courtyards and graceful gateways, and this monument is one of the best-preserved examples of traditional Vietnamese architecture. Founded in 1070 and dedicated to Confucius, this was also the site of Vietnam’s first university. In one courtyard, giant stone tortoises bear steles on their backs, listing the accomplishments of graduating scholars.

Break for lunch at a local restaurant.

Thirdly, visit the Museum of Ethnology (Hoa Lo Prison if you visit on Monday) – one of the 25 most attractive museums in Asia. The museum was opened in 1997 to preserve and introduce most of the richest cultures, and traditions of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. It is a place which is combined with a very green and tranquil garden behind where you can see and learn more about some of the very popular architectures as King people’s traditional house, Ede tribe’s longhouse, Bana tribe’s communal house, Stilt house of Tay tribe…

Hanoi is a blend of long-established traditions and modern imprints of Western colonization. Tree-lined boulevards and colonial buildings give the city a touch of Western elegance, while crowded blocks of tiny old houses and narrow lanes full of daily life bear the charms of the past centuries. Take 45 minutes Cyclo Tour through the Old Quarter: Also known as the 36 streets, this bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. Originally each of the 36s names’ was related to the products being sold there. It’s a great place to explore on foot with numerous photo opportunities. Before coming back to your hotel, we will watch a water puppet show. Dinner is on your own arrangement.

Hanoi - Halong - Overnight On Cruise (B/L/D)

Morning, the cruise’s shuttle bus will pick you up at your hotel lobby and depart for Halong Bay. Sit back and enjoy the peaceful countryside symbolic of the Red River Delta. We will arrive at Halong Bay’s wharf around noon and board a cruise to go through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Halong Bay. Here we enjoy the striking scenery of this World Heritage Site. While being on board, we will be served fresh local seafood lunch followed by swimming and exploring some of the limestone caves in this area. Witness one of the world’s best sunsets before you sit down for a lush dinner. The captain then will anchor for the night nearby a remote island where you’ll have the option of night fishing or just sitting out on the deck and relaxing under the stars.

Halong - Hanoi (B/L)

Waking up surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the bay, we have time for an early morning dip with joys and emotions for watching the sunrise on the sea followed by breakfast. The cruise continues to move around the bay for us to discover more secluded areas, we then take kayaking and swimming in the stunning bay. The junk will be near us at all times serving as a backup vessel for those that require it. At around midday, we will return to the main harbour before transferring to our awaiting vehicle for a 3-hour journey to your hotel in Hanoi. Check-in and relax.

Hanoi - Flight To Luang Prabang (B)

Today, you check out your hotel and we transfer to the airport for your flight to Luang Prabang.

Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, meet our tour guide and we transfer to your hotel for a refresh.

Luang Prabang - City Tour - Kuang Si Falls (B)

As an option, today you may want to get up early to participate in an arm-giving, hundreds of monks walking alongside walk to collect rice and food from laymen. We then visit the fresh morning market at Prakham village to see local lives.

After breakfast, our tour guide and driver will bring you to visit the National museum. After that, we pay a visit to the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai. The next destinations are visiting Wat Xieng Thong,  Wat Sene, Wat Xieng Mouane.

Lunch is at your own cost.

In the afternoon, you will drive out of town about 30 km to the beautiful Kuang Si Falls, where you can swim, relax, and soft trek to the top of the fall. On return short stop at Black Hmong Village, where the hill tribe hand-made handicrafts as souvenirs for visitors pass by. Arrive in the town, we then climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. From there, we explore the street night market, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textiles by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Cave (B)

As an option, today you may want to get up early to participate in an arm-giving, hundreds of monks walking alongside walk to collect rice and food from laymen. We then visit the fresh morning market at Prakham village to see local lives.

After breakfast, You will meet our tour guide and we enjoy a boat ride upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xang Hai, where they make the distillation of local rice wine. On return, we take a short drive to Ban Xang Khong, well known for its hand weaving. Lunch and dinner are at your own cost.
