You will be welcomed by ViTravel’s tour guide and driver at Noi Bai International Airport and be transferred to the city center for check-in at your hotel. Free at your own leisure to explore the bustling Old Quarter (Pho Co).

06:00 PM: Meet our tour guide and we start to begin a Hanoi street food on foot tour.

Our local tour guide will give you an insight into the intricacies and traditions of Vietnamese food culture including details on ingredients and historical backgrounds of popular Northern dishes. We eat as we go, trying seasonal fruits, Banh Cuon, Pho (noodle soup with beef/chicken), Banh mi, Hanoi Bia Hoi- Hanoi Draught Beer, egg coffee.

At the end of your Hanoi street food tour, you can be free to continue discovering the Old Quarter on your own or our tour guide will walk you back to your hotel.

After breakfast, meet our tour guide at your hotel lobby. Today, we will firstly take a visit the outside of the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum then stroll through the garden to the Ho Chi Minh Stilt House where Ho Chi Minh lived from 1958 until he passed away in 1969. This simple two-room dwelling has been preserved in the same condition as during his life and can be viewed through the windows. Continue to the special architecture 11th century One Pillar Pagoda which was rebuilt after being destroyed by the French in 1954.

Secondly, visit the Temple of Literature – The first royal academy of the country.

The Temple of Literature has a peaceful series of walled courtyards and graceful gateways, and this monument is one of the best-preserved examples of traditional Vietnamese architecture. Founded in 1070 and dedicated to Confucius, this was also the site of Vietnam’s first university. In one courtyard, giant stone tortoises bear stele on their backs, listing the accomplishments of graduating scholars.

Break for lunch at a local restaurant.

Thirdly, visit the Museum of Ethnology (Hoa Lo Prison if you visit on Monday) – one of the 25 most attractive museums in Asia. The museum was opened in 1997 to preserve and introduce most of the richest culture, traditions of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. It is a place which is combined with a very green and tranquil garden behind where you can see and learn more about some of very popular architectures as King people’s traditional house, Ede tribe’s longhouse, Bana tribe’s communal house, Stilt house of Tay tribe…

Walking Tour through the Old Quarter. It’s a great place to explore on foot with numerous photo opportunities. Before coming back to your hotel, we will watch a water puppet show.

08:00 AM: our tour expert picks you up at your hotel, we travel to Hoa Lu. Along the way, we may take some stop-over for photo and refreshment while enjoying rural stunning scenery on the way. Arrive in Hoa Lu which is the former capital of Vietnam (968 – 1009) under Dinh and Le dynasties. Visit Dinh temple, Le temple and surroundings.

Have lunch at local restaurant with local food.

After lunch, take the amazing boat trip to visit Trang An grottoes which is a gathering of 31 valleys, 50 cross-water caves, and home to 600 kinds of flora and over 200 kinds of fauna, many of them in the Red Book of Vietnam. While rowing through Trang An grotto in the quiet, fresh air of the highlands, with only the sound of birds and the oars stirring the clear water and surrounded by magnificent forested mountains upon which graze white goats, visitors enjoy a heaven on earth.

03:00 PM: Leave Trang An and drive back Hanoi city.

06:00 PM: Arrive your hotel in Hanoi. Free on your own.

08:00 AM:  ViTravel’s tour guide and driver pick you up at your hotel lobby.

Today, we depart to Halong Bay via the new highway by private transportation.

Arrive in Halong, you are welcomed on board for a private 6-hour cruise trip exploring the most beautiful area of Halong Bay.

We then have a special fresh seafood lunch (alternative options can be arranged if you have any special dietary) while the cruise brings you closer to the numerous emerald islets of the legendary bay. The cruise will pass through the amazing rocks: Incense Bunner, Stone Dog, Cock fighting … Explore the longest, biggest and most beautiful grotto of Ha Long bay(Sung Sot Cave - Surprising Grotto).

Next, we discover Luon Cave(water cave) with some options: Kayaking or bamboo boat or relaxing on boat.

Then, you will visit Titop Island. There, you can swim or trek to Titop peak for taking photos with a panorama view of the bay.

After 6 hour cruising, we sail back to harbour and transfer back to Hanoi city. You will reach your hotel in Hanoi city at around 8.00 PM.

Dinner is on your own arrangement.

Free morning at your own leisure until the transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
