ITINERARY

Day

Hanoi – Sapa – Cat Cat Village

Meals: Lunch and dinner.

06:00–06:30: Pickup from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Board the sleeping bus for Sapa. The journey follows the highway towards Lao Cai, with a comfort break, then continues on the mountain road to Sapa.

13:00–13:30: Arrive in Sapa. Have a welcome drink and an itinerary briefing, followed by lunch with local Vietnamese dishes and hotel check-in procedures.

14:30: Walk to the entrance of Cat Cat Village. Your local guide introduces the daily life of the Black H’mong community. Continue down to the waterfall and the site of the former hydraulic power station, with time for photos at the bridge and waterfall. Walk uphill before the driver picks you up for the return to Sapa.

17:00: Return to Sapa Town. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day

Sapa – Fansipan – Moana View

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

08:00: After breakfast at the hotel, travel with the driver and guide to the cable car station. The cable car ride takes approximately 20 minutes.

09:00: Reach an altitude of approximately 2,800 metres. Spend time taking photos and visiting the pagoda, then climb approximately 600 steps to the Fansipan summit. The programme allows around 1.5 hours for the climb and photos.

11:30: Return to the cable car station and travel back to Sapa Town. Have lunch at a local restaurant or the hotel at around 12:00.

Afternoon: Walk to Moana View, approximately 700 metres from Sapa Church. Visit its photo spots, including the Bali Gate, Infinity Lake, Moana Girl statue, Golden Hand, swing and lonely tree. The panoramic café overlooks Fansipan and Muong Hoa Valley.

17:00: Return to Sapa Town for dinner and another night at the hotel.

Day

Sapa – Hanoi (B)

Meals: Breakfast and lunch.

Have breakfast at the hotel, then spend the morning exploring Sapa independently.

12:00: Check out and have lunch. You will have additional free time in Sapa before departure.

13:00–14:00: Board the bus to Hanoi, with comfort breaks along the way. The programme ends at the bus station at approximately 20:00–20:30.

Return Sapa–Fansipan cable car ticket: VND 850,000 per ticket.
Single cabin on the sleeping bus: VND 500,000 per person for the round trip.

What to Bring

Bring warm clothing, a scarf, a hat and comfortable trekking shoes. The programme also recommends sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent and some cash in Vietnamese dong. Weather in Sapa can change, and the programme notes colder conditions from September through March and possible fog from December through March.
